My Dad flew B-17's in WWII and my girls have always wanted to fly in one. Sunday we drove down to Scholes Field in Galveston and took a half hour ride in this one. The girls had never been in a four engine prop plane. The Tour De Houston was yesterday. It starts in downtown Houston and heads north with 20, 40 and 70 mile routes. I'm not well enough for this kind of ride yet and I hadn't planned on riding it. Then I saw a letter from Paul and Cyndy on our newsgroup. They had rented a tandem bike but had no way to get it to the ride. I volunteered my Tahoe and bike rack. It was great fun. Almost as good as doing the ride. Plus I have two new friends.
